Radio and TV
In accordance with the local legislation, the using of recorded music without the consent of the rightholder, shall be made only if users make payment of remuneration to such rightholder. Radio and TV can be considered as one of the main users of recorded music and in order to be in compliance with the law requirements, they need to sign relevant agreement with RAYS and make payments.
Radio
Music is the main content making product on radio and within a day thousands of songs playing on radio. Radio will guarantee the obtainment by hundreds of singers, performances, phonogram holders and other rightsholders by signing the agreement with RAYS.
TV
Almost all TVs are using recorded music in their programmes and promotions, therefore TVs need to negotiate with RAYS in order to remunerate related rightsholders, the obligation that TV shall be made under laws prescription.
